Jibanyan (Yokai Watch) Model Kit

This was a quick and easy build. Done within 1 hour.
This little critter is absolutely adorable.
I find it hilarious how Yokai Watch is targeted to young children (on par with Pokemon and Digimon audience) and the anime mascot is some pervy cat creature - as demonstrated by Jibanyan loving to read some cat gravure magazine.
My only dilemma was choosing the stickers for his face for different expressions - There were so many stickers to choose from!!

It was really nice of Bandai to create a little stand to hold the extra pieces (left piece) - 2 faces and 1 extra set of arms.
This was definitely worth my money, in terms of product quality, the amount of build-able pieces and cuteness. If I ever come across the second model kit then I would buy it without hesitation!
The only downside of this model is that the collar is missing the blue colour.

[Life] De-stressing

Post-assessment block + Pre-prac de-stress, aka binge shopping.
I loved the first VVV kit I made last time so I went and bought another one, Hiasobi. Picked this one namely because it was purple 
And then I saw the Yokai Watch cat, and it was too adorable to not buy, so it joined my shopping basket.
Not pictured is an awesome red scarf I got for $2 (originally $15 - talk about bargains!!)

[Life] Building my Valvrave and filling up my glass cabinet

I finally finished building my Valvrave! So happy and proud that I built this.

I bought a glass cabinet from IKEA to store all my goods, which dad and I spent 1.5 hours assembling Thursday morning.

The 4th tier stores my Pokemon and Doraemon goods. The plushies were from my uncle.

Third tier stores my "memories".  For example the souvenirs I bought when I went to Hokkaido, and the mini piano was a gift for a friend who I had accompanied her vocal performance during high school.

Second tier stores my anime figurines (including Tiger & Bunny, Ao no Exorcist, Hakuouki and Code Geass).

 First tier stores the bigger and more precious pieces.

Valvrave progress report: Night 5

I've kinda lost count of how long I've been spending building my VVV. At least 2.5 days and 5 nights in total. But everything is taking shape! I've got the arms and legs. I'm almost halfway through the instructions booklet.

Well I'm gonna call it a night and continue (re)-playing Brothers Conflict Brilliant Blue.

[Life] Building my Valvrave - Progress report: Night 1+2

Not so long ago, I bought Haruto's Valvrave kit. Two nights ago, I decided it was about time I started building it.
I'll log my VVV building progress.
Night 1: This took me one.whole.hour. Wow. There's so much detail to take care of.

Day 2: Why you can't breath when building a Valvrave. This (the green piece) is one of the numerous minuscule parts that you have to cut out from the mould (with scissors), then polish off (with sandpaper or a stanley knife - I use the latter) the plastic tubings so that it will fit nice and snug in the designated place (see picture 2).

Night 2: I completed the central body part and the right forearm. 

The instructions manual has a total of 7 pages, and as of tonight I have completed the first page. Building models takes a lot of concentration.

I'm going to call it a night and go play some Otome game on my PSP.

[Life] A little splurge shouldn't hurt

So I bought a "little something" for myself tonight. This costed me half of what I earned today. But I think it's totally worth it. It's Haruto's Valrave kit.
Gonna build this with Dad over the Christmas holidays. I can't wait! VVV love forever!
(I was actually tossing up whether to buy this VVV kit or the [K] animation art book.)

Uta no Prince sama 3000% anime confirmed!!

Breaking news! There will be season 3 of the UtaPri anime in 2015 (edit: in Autumn)!!
This important news was announced at the 3rd Maji Love Live concert held in Yokohama stadium tonight.
This 3rd live stage show will also be turned into BD/DVD merchandise.

New UtaPri Project - Shining Airlines

The UtaPri website updated tonight with its new project Shining Airlines, which will be presented at the Animate Girls Festival 2013 (02,03/Nov/2013). 

Yes, sadly, this is a Japan only project, where the merchandise displayed on the website will be sold. Though they say that other merchandise will be available at a later date.

Uta no Prince sama new game confirmed

Today marks the release day of UtaPri Music2. The team had another surprise for us fangirls by updating their site with this picture.

There will be a continuation of the All Stars game!

The slogan on the picture says: Shall we continue our kiss. More sweet. More bitter.

But since 11 days prior to the release date there has been a special countdown on the main UtaPri website. Here's the log of countdown pictures!
Will we get a surprise picture on the day of release? Who knows but to wait for tomorrow!

Uta no Prince-Summer! Update

Ooooo I never realised until Suwabe tweeted about it. Prince "SUMMER" is a pun on the "sama" of Uta no Prince sama, since they sound almost the same in Japanese.
Also, the Prince Summer site updated, announcing the 5th project, being Prince Summer goods. There will be clear files, note books, badges, poster and bracelets.

Confirmed: New UtaPri project in the making!!

Yes, and it's official!! There's a new UtaPri project in store! A summer campaign from the boys! 

Official site is here. The campaign is held between 27 August 2013 to 9 September 2013.

The blurb on the bottom of the main picture translates to: "Here are the belated summer greetings from the 7 idols of Shining Office. Thanks to you, the idols had an eventful/wonderful 2013 Summer.  Thank you for you continuous support. Please continue to look forward to their future activities."
While the main slogan in the middle translates to: "Although we've become adults, we won't forget".

So far there's 4 events/projects listed on the site:
1) and 2) are about the huge posters on the Shibuya109 building. And it's kind of (funny) nice of the company to have this warning that while it's okay to take photos, customers should be careful of their surroundings, especially the traffic.
3) and 4) are about the release of UtaPri Music2 and to celebrate the release, you can get these character "clapping fliers(?)" (ぱたぱたチラシ) [I have no idea what they are...]

I'm sure there's more in store, so keep an eye out for them!
